  • Sunset: 7:22 p.m.
  • Morning: partly cloudy, near 82°F
  • Afternoon: around 90–92°F, with an isolated thunderstorm possible

The National Weather Service calls for east winds around 5–10 knots, smooth Galveston Bay waters, and a slight chance of showers with isolated thunderstorms. Offshore seas are expected around 2–3 feet. Winds and waves can be higher near thunderstorms.

Fishing outlook

Fair to good early and late. The early major period overlaps the cooler pre-sunrise hours. The late-afternoon major period may also be productive, but heat and isolated thunderstorms could interrupt fishing. Leave the water when thunder is heard.

Red tide advisory

Texas Parks and Wildlife continues to report confirmed red tide affecting the Bolivar Peninsula and Crystal Beach, with moderate to high concentrations in recent samples. Fish kills and respiratory symptoms have been reported. Avoid discolored water and areas with dead fish. If coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or breathing trouble develops, leave the area—especially if you have asthma or another respiratory condition.
