- Minor: 12:03–1:03 p.m. and 10:13–11:13 p.m.

Weather and practical fishing outlook
Crystal Beach starts the day partly cloudy near 82°F, with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s. Thunderstorms are possible later this afternoon and evening.
The early major period overlaps the pre-dawn high tide, followed by falling water through the morning. Focus on drains, cuts, jetty edges, and other current seams with live shrimp or mullet, soft plastics, or an early topwater. The late major period arrives on the incoming tide after the very low afternoon water and may be the best second chance before sunset—provided thunderstorms stay away.
Safety notes
- High rip-current risk through Thursday morning: Dangerous currents are expected along Gulf-facing beaches, including Bolivar Peninsula. Avoid surf wading alone and swim only near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, stay calm and swim parallel to shore.
- Thunderstorms: Leave the beach, jetties, piers, and open water immediately if thunder is heard or lightning is seen.
- Red tide: The latest Texas Parks and Wildlife Upper Coast update reported relatively low concentrations, with some samples showing no detectable red tide and symptoms mild to nonexistent. Conditions can change; avoid discolored water and areas with dead or distressed fish, and leave if coughing or eye irritation begins.
